A photograph which gained first place in the sports category of the prestigious Ilford Black & White Awards. As a keen basketball fan, I'd gone down to the Castle Leisure Centre in Bury to watch a local game. The picture wasn't actually submitted for publishing until after it had won but what really poured cold water on things was the Inland Revenue claiming the prize was part of my income!
