Bolton Wanderers learned a lot from their season in the Premier League in 1995/6. Unfortunately, their performance in the second half of the season wasn't enough to overcome the problems created during the first half and they were relegated.
Their end of season clash with local rivals Manchester City was vital to both teams and The Independent wanted coverage of the Wanderers' pre-match training.
The conditions weren't good (nothing new there) but I managed to come up with a picture they liked so I also got to cover the actual match. This ended in a draw, which added to both teams problems and City also eventually went down.
